Eveng, ien bastida. Abco the manhunt just ending this evening after a shooting spree that terrorized the town of paso robles. The Police Closed in on the suspect, 26yearold mason lira, this afternoon. They opened fire on several off officers that arrived at the scene, but it all came to an end when the suspect tried to run from a river bed to highway 101. He was shot and killed by police. The 3 officers injured are hospitalized with nonlifethreatening injuries. Heres what we know about the suspect. Authorities say hes a homeless man from the monterey area. He was caught on Security Camera footage yesterday. Hours earlier say lira started shooting at the Paso Robles Police station. As officers started responding, lira turned his gun on the police cars rolling in, shooting a deputy in the head. The shooting triggered an intense manhunt. Its not a good feeling to have. This is video of the rescue efforts last night. It happened near the legion of honor museum at around 6 30. Fire crews say the rough terrain made it difficult to find her after she fell off a cliff at lands end. After finding her they transported her to china beach where she later died. A quarter mile north of the brokaw road exit. This happened around 4 20 this morning and its the result of careless driving. Two women in an suv cut off this big rig and the big rig flipped and the suv wrecked. The injuries of the driver of the big rig and the two women in the suv are minor. They are expected to be okay. The tow truck people have been able to move that suv. Theyve been able to upright the cab. The problem is a trailer. It is a full load of packages. Its a heavy load so theyre trying to figure out whether it would be quicker to offload all the packages on that truck or use air bags to upright this trailer. It could take another hour, two, maybe even three as a result though fortunately right now its still a little bit early in the commute. If you look at the headlights, theyre heading northbound right now towards the scene. There is slowing, but this slowing only goes back perhaps about 100 yards.
