Propalestinian protests are coming to an end at some bay area colleges. Student demonstrators at u c berkeley and San Francisco state announced tonight they have reached agreements with school administration. This is what is left of the encampment that has been set up on campus for 3 weeks now at u c berkeley in tonight, chancellor carol crist sent a letter to the Academic Senate saying theyve reached an agreement with what is known as the divest coalition. She also wrote another letter to the demonstrators at the encampment saying shell create a committee to look over the investments in will consider divestment. She told police she just wanted to end her mothers suffering. Prosecutors disagree. Dave schratwieser broke the story tonight and joins us live from north philadelphia. Dave. 74yearold mary was in the nursing home hyped me with dementia and osteoporosis. She had several times broken bones. Her daughter is charged with attempted murder for injecting her with insulin even though she wasnt a diabetic. Her lawyer says, this isnt about crime. Its about compassion. Its every grown child worst nightmare. Watching an elderly parent suffering from an illness in a hospital or nursing home. Abington police say when 50yearold donna couldnt bear to watch her mother mary suffer any more, she injected her with insulin hoping shed pass away. Its very sad tragic set of circumstances.
