Some of you may know that i spent 20 years in the social Services Departments of new york state and new york city working on antipoverty programs. I was focused on the various issues with our ways in which we help people get into work and get out of poverty and move up economically. Those things were important. I always k

Personal responsibility, work, work supports, those things were important, but i always knew there was another domain, another domain of activity that was equally important to our safety net programs.
