you a map. officers have 3 blocks of killed our way taped off and keep in mind, this is just a few blocks from shannon elementary school. and so they put on alert out to people saying you need to shelter in place and coming back out here to video. you can see. 4 blocks. i mean, starting here at this intersection and then 4 blocks. they have this area blocked mizzou men. even further so you can get a better look at what is happening here. but you can see if they have sheriffs office officials here. they have police officers. you can see them right there with their swat gear and all of that police sent out alerts saying people who are on killer way are less a road in terrell hills drive. in on barkley court or advice lockdown in stay at home and be safe. they said go inside close and lock all your windows and doors. police also say stay off your phone and don t call 911. in less. you need to report a life threatening emergency. i mean, this is a time where they just want to
months fast forward 11 years. police in the city of brooklyn center. that s just outside minneapolis say. they were trying to arrest 20 year old dante wright yesterday related to an outstanding warrant. you can hear the officer in the video whose body camera footage we re looking at right now. she shouts taser several times before eventually shooting her gun at the end of the video you hear her say i shot him. drove off after being shot once his car crashed a few blocks away. he was pronounced dead at the scene. as i watched the video and listen to the officer s commands is my belief that the officer had the intention to deploy their taser. but instead shot mister right with a single bullet. this appears to me from what i view in the officer s reaction in distress immediately after. but this was an accidental discharge. that resulted in the tragic death. mister right. and the female officer sound stunned when she says i shot him that officer has been placed on administr
himself after a preliminary search. police say they located 8 people at the scene dead from gunshot wounds. at least 8 other people were transported to the hospital s. others drove themselves. we re told there also have been multiple other hospital walk-in. so right now police are trying to figure out exactly how many people were injured during all of this. but police telling us this morning this is never seen. they want to encounter you know, in minneapolis promptly stuff. partment the officers responded. they came in, they went in and they did their job. a lot of them are trying to face us because this is a sight that no one should ever have to see indianapolis police do tell us no officers were injured during any of this this morning. we re also trying to find out more about this accused gunman. it s unclear at this point if he worked at this fedex facility or what his connection to fedex eat. police say that is something they will be investigating over the next few
commute fortunately, it looks like maybe the next 15 minutes or so. it should wrap up from this location. let me show you video of exactly what happened. this all went down at around 1040, last night when chp officers, they were driving southbound one. oh, one through this area. they happened to see a honda civic on the side of the road. it was disabled. they came up. just do it. check it out and then they realized there was a driver at the location. they talked to the driver. they felt that he was impaired, not that he was drinking and driving. but there was something off about him. they went to try to make an arrest. and that s when they said he took off from the scene ran across all lanes of southbound one. oh, one across the center median and then slammed into a san mateo county sheriff s deputy who was not part of the investigation. he was just happening. the drive along on the northbound side. and that s when the deputy slammed his suv into the person fleeing from the s
