From Oct. 4-7, there will be no shortage of places in Santa Cruz to go for laughs, as the Santa Cruz Comedy Festival is back in town bringing 40 comedians to 10 venues throughout the city.
In the near future, there are three dates in Santa Cruz that will not pass by without laughter, and that is when DNA's Comedy Lab hosts its series of Saturday afternoon comedy shows at London Nelson Park. For its third year, the newly christened Laughternoon will be bringing a mix of local, regional and national comedians to a shared space over three Saturdays, where attendees can laugh in the company of others in an outdoor setting.
Presented by Tease Bang Boom Productions, this comedy showcase is sure to be exactly what you need to cry with laughter on a Friday night! Featuring your host Jessica Taylor with performers Jasmine Rogers and Niko Smith,
Nina G is coming to Santa Cruz next month to perform in a show called “Comedians With Disabilities Act” alongside other comics living with various health/ability circumstances. Writing from his own experience as a member of the People Who Stutter Club, Wallace Baine says that in the great directory of physical, mental or psychological afflictions that plague the human animal, “I got away pretty good.” He tells you why.
