legends. tonight we remember them, the brightest stars of the stage and screen and we start with new details on the passing of debbie reynolds and her daughter carrie fisher. it was a double shock to lose both hollywood legends within a day of each other. yesterday, todd fisher, debbie s son and carrie s brother visited westwood village memorial park o and mortuary possibly looking for burial sites. carrie died first, suffering cardiac arrest on an airplane which was landing at lax. she never regained consciousness. devastated by carrie s death, debbie passed away the following day from a suspected stroke. the two had a very close, but complicated relationship. everybody should have a mother who is as great as she is in musical comedy. i wrote that for her. e.t. spoke with todd fisher by phone the night he lost his mother. she said this morring, the last thing she said was that she missed her daughter and wanted to very much be with her, and then this mornin ....
