but we re staying in touch with officials there. keep in mind, earlier this week, two strong quakes hit the same region near the town of visso. barbie nadeau is on the phone with us. let s talk about what you re hearing from officials with this earthquake happening after another series of strong quakes within the same week? one of the bright sides of all of this is the fact that the earthquakes last week were so strong, caused a lot of people to evacuate. even though it s stronger, you are not going to stee a lot of casualties because people weren t there or in their houses. a lot of the structures that were damaged last week that may have had fissures in the facade and or on the outside of the buildings or balconies that were damaged that completely collapsed in this stronger earthquake, we see much more damage reports right now than we did last week. that s because they re 100, 200 years old or some of them even more recent that don t have anti-i seismic measures in place
