questions that are still being addressed. as we reported earlier today, the inmate found dead in his cell was a 33-year-old latino male being held on several assault and battery charges from different snenlts. now, the man was being held on a floor reserved for inmates who need medical or psychiatric supervision. he was moved there last week after authorities decided he needed to be put on a suicide watch. the sheriff said the inmate refused to make the move, so a so-called extraction team had to resort to physical, but department approved protocol methods that included nonlethal weapons such as pepper spray. at this time, we have no information about the cause of death. any assumption s as to the caus of death is pure speculation until the medical examiner finishes their review. we expect the review to tack place in the coming days. based on our information, the inmate had a long history of violent behavior, both in public and with jail and medical staff. now, again, the
