No. 13/26 Noles Continue Indoor Season at Texas Tech and Clemson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 13/26 Florida State track and field teams will continue their indoor season this Friday and Saturday at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock, Texas, and the Bob Pollock Meet in Clemson, S.C. The Noles will send primarily sprinters and jumpers to Lubbock while the distance runners and the throwers will head to Clemson. The Texas Tech Open will be streamed live on ESPN+. Quick Sprints The Bob Pollock Invite is the third and final time the Noles will travel to Clemson this season. The Noles previously traveled to Clemson on Dec. 3 for the Clemson Invite and on Jan. 14-15 for the Clemson Opener. The Noles will be one of eight Power Five teams to compete at the Texas Tech Open. Head Coach Bob Braman enters his 18th year as the head coach of the Florida State track and field team. Braman has won 14 (10 men’s, 4 women’s) outright ACC Indoor Championships. Noles Wrap Up Clemson Invite on Saturday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Florida State track and field team wrapped up the Clemson Invite on Saturday. The team picked up four first-place finishes and 11 personal bests on the weekend, kicking off their spring season on a high note. The Seminoles dominated in the sprints this weekend with first-place finishes from Don’drea Swint and Trey Cunningham on Friday followed by Edidiong Odiong on Saturday. Jacore Irving started the day for the Seminoles with a second-place finish in the men’s triple jump with a mark of 15.67 meters, just 0.2 meters behind the first-place finisher. Ruby Stauber earned third place in the women’s 800-meter run with a time of 2:07.68. Stauber is a graduate student transfer from Vanderbilt and today was her first competition in the Garnet and Gold. The women’s team went first and fourth in the 200m dash. Odiong placed first with a time of 23.34, followed by Ka’Tia Seymour in fourth with a time of 23.69. Noles Begin Indoor Season at Clemson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field team will head to Clemson, S.C. on Friday for the Clemson Opener. Friday's meet will be the earliest start of the season since the 2018-19 season when they began the year on Dec. 1 at the Colyear-Danville BU Opener in Boston, Mass. Field events will begin at 10 a.m. with running events slated to start at 11:40 a.m. Friday's 17-team field will be highlighted by FSU and their in-state rival Florida as the top two teams in the field. The Noles will also be joined by ACC counterparts Clemson and Georgia Tech as well as South Carolina. Previewing the Noles FSU enters the 2021-22 season with a load of experience, as they return a combined 18 (11 men, 7 women) All-ACC indoor athletes from last season. which is second in the conference. The women will look to defend their ACC title, as the men hope to take home their 15th ACC indoor title.
