Several others were also injured, including his wife, Dianne, son, Josh, who was the husband of Amanda Self, and their two children, ages 12 and 8 at the time. Realistically, the 65-year-old Self could face a minimum of 12 years in prison or up to 70 years, minus the almost three years he has spent in jail awaiting his fate, said his defense attorney, Rick Beam. From suicide to homicide On Saturday, May 19, 2018, Self went to Shooter s Express in Mount Holly and purchased a handgun. When he bought the gun, he had thoughts of suicide or homicide toward his own family, according to a search warrant affidavit connected to the case. ....
