East bay Police Investigating another highway shooting as we were talking about involving a driver on hercules. Police are trying to track down the shooter. Stephanie chuang is live in our newsroom. Police believe its connected to the other highway shootings . That remains unclear but what is clear is a bit disconcerting, that there have been 21 shootings since november alone and 12 have been on highway 80. Most recently, a 25yearold man was driving on highway 80 past sunol at 10 30 last night when a white sedan pulled to the right of him and someone fired several shots at him. The driver crashed into the Center Divider and rolled his car several times. He was in good enough condition eventually to leave but the motive is unclear. Runners took to the 12 kilometer course that starts at embarcadero and ends at ocean beach. Its less of a race and more of a party. There for all the festivity, chuck, how was the crowd this year . Reporter always fun. This year was no exception. You can see behind me great highways back open as well as some 30 odd streets closed today all back open at this point. We saw a lot of tutus, a lot of mini minions, mean girls and star wars cruiser and man carrying a basketball hoop people kept trying to dunk, some of the spectacle we saw. A large crowd ran this year, around 40,000, some put it at 50,000, at least 10,000 than last year with 200,000 specta r spectators cheering them on. Program, the shanti project, positive research center, applied aquatics institute, San Francisco publicity club, and we also appointed him as a board to the lgbt aging task force where he was a very productive member. Stu was extremely active in shanti and served four terms as board chair. He helped keep that organization strong. Shanti was a key, key part of his life. Recently he he chaired the executive council at the San Francisco para transit coordinating council. He was also serving as the executive director of tin pan alley productions and he wrote a column for the bay times. He hosted several shows including the drag show and the face to face on s. F.
