He was harvesting yesterday, two hives and noticed hostile behavior. When he lifted the lid, they made a huge swarm, a group of angry bees, a behavior we had never seen before. They are africanized bees. Known as killer bees. Thats what he suspects. They got rid of the hives but not before they were swarmed. My hair was buzzing with them. They were all over me. Reporter two people went to the hospital with bee stings. We put out an advisory warning people to stay out of the area. Theres a report two small dogs died, possibly after being stung. Norman lot is a volunteer with the beekeepers association. He brought a lure. By evening, the situation calmed. We asked him what he thinks they are. Alison a Massive Wildfire out in california is now covering an area of more than 29 square miles. That fire about 35 miles northeast of bakersfield has destroyed 100 buildings including 80 homes. Another 1,500 buildings are threatened. Hundreds of people have been evacuated and are waiting to find out if they still have homes to return to. Its hard. The kids are scared. We have to maintain calm for them. I have to stay inside. The sky was orange. I have asthma. About 600 firefighters are battling the blaze and hundreds more are on the way.
