The National Stadium in Kingston will come alive this week with the 110
th staging of the ISSA Boys and Girls Athletics Championship from Tuesday, May 11 to Saturday, May 15. This year’s staging of the most anticipated track and field event for high school students will see a sharp reduction in participants due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Only 970 athletes representing 80 schools are eligible to compete, a far cry from the 2,700 who competed at the 2019 edition. The competition was abandoned in 2020 because of the pandemic. In commemoration of World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, Kingston Creative is encouraging Jamaican creative entrepreneurs to get educated about the importance of protecting intellectual property.
Discussions are slated to take place at the Creative Networking Meet-up on Friday, April 23, at 5 pm on
