The Fairfield City Council will meet tonight at 6 at City Hall. The night will begin with a discussion on the potential business district, and the council is then anticipated to set a public hearing date in March to gauge the city's view on the project. Other items on the agenda call for the appointment of a Zoning Officer and a request to use recreation funds to reimburse Santa for his work in the downtown area in December. The Fairfield City Council met last night and revised the liquor ordinance to clarify definitions and descriptions for establishments selling alcohol. Several appointments were confirmed, as well, including Bryan Williams to the Police Pension Board; Andrew Miller to the Fire Pension Board; Cody Atteberry, Mark Turner, and Nicki Roethe to the Zoning Board; and Carrie Halbert to the Recreation Committee. In his report last night, Fairfield Mayor Mike Dreith said the City Band will perform this season, and their first concert is scheduled for June 13th.
