Business April 29, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet on Wednesday directed the release of Rs4.1 billion subsidy against the supply of re-gasified liquified natural gas (RLNG) to export-oriented industry for March last year. The power division submitted a summary regarding the release of subsidy for the supply of 100 percent RLNG to export-oriented industry for the month of March 2020. The ECC approved the summary and decided to form a sub-committee consisting of Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Power and other relevant stakeholders to review the power subsidies provided to export oriented sectors, with a direction to submit a holistic proposal before the ECC. ....

Also, the Nebras Power Investment Management has signed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Unique Hotel and Resorts Limited (UHRL) to acquire a 24pc equity stake in Unique Meghnaghat Power Limited (UMPL) in Bangladesh. This acquisition enhances the asset base of Nebras through fully contracted projects. National February 16, 2021 ISLAMABAD: In a new development, one of the leading private players in the LNG sector, the PGPCL (Pakistan Gas Port Limited), has sought allocation of pipeline capacity for transmission of 150mmcfd of RLNG on a three-month rolling basis. The PGPL has written a letter to OGRA, seeking the pipeline capacity allocation keeping in view the latest decision taken by the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCOE) on February 4, 2021. The CCOE decided that in order to provide fair and level playing field to the new LNG terminal, the existing available capacity in the pipeline will be allocated to any applicant, meeting the requisite criteria for three-month rolling basis till such time the new terminals achieve commercial operations date (CoD). PHOTO: FILE ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Thursday revised prices of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) on networks of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) for the ongoing month of February. According to a notification issued by the authority, there is a $0.8883-per-mmbtu increase in the sale price of imported RLNG on the SSGC system for February as compared to January.
