Top Story January 10, 2021 ISLAMABAD: In an expected development, the government has halted the RLNG supply to all sectors of economy as Sui Northern on Saturday also stopped imported gas supply to power plants and export industry. The Sui Southern will today (Sunday) cease the supply of imported gas to the export industry. “Right now, no RLNG is available to CNG, fertilizer, and captive power as the government has stopped gas supply to power sector and export industry,” a senior official at the Petroleum Division confirmed to The News. The RLNG demand for January to the power sector stands at 250 mmcfd. However, the Sui Northern slashed the RLNG supply to 155 mmcfd some days back, which further tumbled to 125 mmcfd by last Friday (January 08, 2021) and now on Saturday, the RLNG gas supply to the power sector was virtually shut. National January 8, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has granted a licence to K-Electric for constructing and operating a gas pipeline for supplying RLNG for its 900 MWs power plant at Bin Qasim Power Complex (BQPS). It is the first-ever license obtained by KE in the oil and gas sector and is a key step in ensuring that the upcoming BQPS III power plant receives the right amount of gas, at the right pressure. This milestone will go a long way in helping bridge the supply-demand gap in Karachi in the years to come. APTMA hails gas, RLNG supply Business January 6, 2021 LAHORE: All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Punjab Chairman Abdul Rahim Nasir has appreciated the sustained supply of gas/RLNG that helped maintain the momentum of enhanced exports and enabled the textile industry to work at full capacity, a statemengt said on Tuesday. Export orders for the next six months are booked and despite Covid-19 pandemic, the overall exports of Pakistan have registered a growth of more than 18 percent in December 2020, compared with the corresponding period of the last year, he said. There have been isolated cases of low pressure of gas and supply problems on mixed feeders and APTMA has taken up these issues with the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) management who have assured us of all-possible assistance to remove any bottlenecks. ....
