The fog is making a strong surge and its going to give cooler conditions for many near the fog. Yesterday it started in santa rosa. They cool down 8 degrees compared to sunday. We are downshifting on those temperatures for a couple of days. For those of us who still drive a stick shift and downshifting lets take a look at the community. Westbound 580 is going to be slow. That looks like first gear all the way, maybe second gear at most on 580 and 205. You wont actually make it out to regular speeds until you reach the city of livermore and into pleasanton. Looking at interstate 880, traffic is good. Steve mentioned a closure on the bay bridge which was closed about a half an hour ago in both directions for the filming of a movie. Now, all lanes are open. Some parts of texas have been hit with feet of rain and it continues to fall. 30,000 people are in shelters.
