just know there are a couple of changes for us. we are on the hazy side for a few areas. and we are also looking at a hotter weekend ahead of us. i d keep it local this weekend. not just because we do have. wildfires up in the sierra nevada, of course, around lake tahoe. but there s also some pretty wild weather shaping up across the rest of the country. so it s kind of nice just to hang in the bay area this weekend. you re look outside this morning shows you a little bit of a low grade that we have over berkeley skies are definitely clear enough that you can see down towards the horizon. we will have a couple of foggy patches, though, especially inland in the north bay where visibility has fallen, especially on some of our hillside. so just be mindful of that, as you venture out there, some patchy fog to be noted. it s back to moderate air quality across the entirety of the bay area really have to get down to gilroy before you start seeing any sort of good air quality hang
during storms prompted evacuation orders in parts of san mateo santa cruz and napa counties. this interactive map shows the evacuation orders in santa cruz and san mateo counties napa county map has it been updated yet but apparently some the atlas fire zone on the east side of the napa valley. the areas that are shaded here in yellow are evacuation warnings, these red areas or the evacuation areas that are taking place right now this is from santa cruz all the way going up to pescadero and especially here in the boulder creek area the san lorenzo river runs through here and then down to the coast. so those are the areas that are affected by the evacuations kron four s rob fladeboe takes a look at how people in santa cruz county are dealing with the evacuation orders. they re issued amid the potential for debris flow and let s lights. the proverbial calm before the storm own residents for the second day in a row stocking up on gasoline and groceries here in boulder creek as
this about a 10th of an inch of rain maybe a little bit more in a couple of spots but we re not into the heavy stuff just yet so something else to watch out for us with this storm system this a powerful one going to see some pretty extreme winds we re seeing some of that along the coastline near rico we ve seen 60 some 70 mile an hour gusts. there certainly the possibility along the coastal sections, especially over the mountains you could see some of those gusts overlooking and high wind warnings we re not a half moon bay woodside montero pacifica daly city and even into san francisco, some of those a very strong winds likely they re continuing in the county 30 to 45 mile an hour sustained winds gusting to as high as about 60 miles per hour. along the coast in the north bay sausalito near beach 10 to beach bolinas lagoon need us inverness smallest you name it, they re all in fort for tonight going to some very strong gusty winds some of those winds within 6070 miles an hour
south across the central valley and some snow still hanging on in the central sierra nevada 40 s and 50 s are current temperatures with oakland at 56 hayward at 55 timber on a 49 degrees one of your coolest spots santa rosa at 47, i m talking the sunshine will get for the rest of the day and into the weekend to still in your forecast rob. thank you john traffic is not so bad out there in the finest hour, it s looking a lot better on the roads and freeways we re checking out 92, you can see it s still soggy. you know in certain spots so you re going to be dealing with that throughout the bay area we have flooding this morning we had overturned crashes and although things are drying out you should still be extra careful and cautious out there on the soggy roads with the drive time here for west 92 looks really good 40 minutes off to one o one we re delay free heading into san francisco, no delays to worry about here at the bay bridge toll plaza we were backed up to west graham
