Since 2019, students and professors at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have been working to restore Reller Prairie in the Martell area of rural Lancaster County.
The prairie, which is 20 miles from campus, is managed by the UNL Biological Sciences Department after the Reller family gifted it to the university in 1970.
With newly renovated facilities at the Reller Prairie Field Station, forensic anthropology students will join researchers to study the decomposition of human bodies just south of Lincoln.
