GREATER NOIDA: Police stopped the redevelopment of a religious structure in Beerampur village of Gautam Buddh Nagar district after a clash between two communities.
Notices have been issued against 60 people under sections 107/116 of the CrPC and security has been upped to prevent any law and order issue.
According to locals, a structure came up at the plot where members of the Muslim community have been offering namaaz for some years now.
A few days ago, villagers noticed a group of villagers had started reconstruction work on the premises and they had been trying to construct a new Masjid at the spot. ....
