The announcement of a vaccination centre in Limerick has been met with widespread criticism.
Live95 reported last week that the Radisson Blu Hotel on the Ennis Road would be the vaccination centre for Limerick and yesterday the Health Minister confirmed the news.
Stephen Donnelly says the 37 sites across all 26 counties were selected based on population density, ease of access, transport and parking.
But Limerick Councillor Conor Sheehan doesn t believe that the site qualifies as one that is easy to access:
This site is located off a busy dual carriageway on the outskirts of the city with no public transport or even provision of a footpath to walk to the site. It’s not even located in Limerick, it’s technically in Co. Clare.  ....
