i m bill hemmer, good morning at home. dana: good morning. love your color today. bill: i called it a road dana: we talked about a debt ceiling. it wasn t easy, speaker kevin mccarthy has delivered on his promise to pass a bipartisan deal. 314-117. it caps spending and delivers big wins for republicans. dana: the bill would expedite energy projects. tighten food stamp requirements. cut i.r.s. funding and end the president s freeze on student loans. bill: some conservatives are threatening to out mccarthy and progressives weren t happy. the speaker doesn t seem to be phased. congress made a lot of promises with this deal that were not met on paper.
