This year part of the 5 1 2 mile boardwalk reopened after it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and the rest expected to be open by next summer. The boardwalk built with stronger supports and Higher Elevation. The entire reconstruction project expected to be completed by 2017. Of course, no need to wait until then. You can come out today and enjoy the beach. If you cant, once again, you have until next sunday to make it out to most f the beaches here around the city.
