Shes a 2010 graduate of texas tech university. And she remains in isolation at the hospital where she works. The system was established to protect those who cared for mr. Duncan as well as the community at large by identifying any potential ebola cases as early as possible and getting those individuals into treatment immediately. Ebola is transmitted by coming in contact with bodily fluids from an infected patient. The head for centers of Disease Control says breach in protocol exposed the nurse to the virus. Now tonight she is back inside Texas Health Presbyterian hospital in isolation. She is fighting the deadly disease herself. The centers for Disease Control say that a breach in hospital protocol caused the infection. Officials wont release the nurses name at this time, but they did say she had extensive contact with Thomas Eric Duncan before he died from ebola.
