Private hospitals plan to access vaccines state-wise so that they are in sync with every state’s policy. The decision was taken at Thursday’s meeting attended by prominent healthcare and industry federations, including CII, Ficci, PHD Chamber of Commerce, Assocham, Indian Chamber of Commerce, NATHEALTH, Indian Medical Association and AHPI.

Private sector hospitals have decided to pool demand and access vaccines through bulk pharma distributors with cold chain facilities for the third phase of vaccination for the 18-45 years age group starting May 1. They have also asked the Centre to continue with the present supply chain for two months to ensure continuity.
