Phase 3 of Covid-19 vaccination drive in J&K begins in phased manner
The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday began the inoculation drive for the people in the 18-45 age group in a phased manner.

The Covid-19 vaccination drive for people in the 18-45 age group began on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir in a phased manner. The J&K administration had announced that the third phase of the inoculation drive covering those in the 18-45 age group will begin in a phased manner from Saturday, starting with the cities of Srinagar and Jammu.

Health Ministry said that it witnessed more than 80 lakh people registered themselves on the portal, with 3 hours from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
It added that the portal received 383 million API hits, initially as high as 2.7 million hits per minute and a total of 1.45 crore SMSs have been successfully delivered

Private sector hospitals have decided to pool demand and access vaccines through bulk pharma distributors with cold chain facilities for the third phase of vaccination for the 18-45 years age group starting May 1. They have also asked the Centre to continue with the present supply chain for two months to ensure continuity.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan announced that all Indian citizens can now take covid-19 vaccine, as it is made available round the clock as per their convenience.
The minister took to microblogging website Twitter and said: The government has ended the time constraint to increase the speed of vaccination. Citizens of the country can now get vaccinated 24x7 at their convenience.
He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi understands the health of citizens of the country as well as the value of their time. Vardhan and his wife took the vaccine shot at Delhi Heart and Lung Institute on Tuesday.
