what we are learning this morning. two pages of notes found in his wallet and on his person as well, and that is the note that indicated where he was going to visit. and also gave and indication of what kind of motive, but nothing that we can confirm just yet, and for the investigation, we learned that he had contact with some of the places and a couple of the other places that it appears that he had employees there where he was asked to leave. so it is looking like he is possibly a motive for that is that he was slighted. interesting. joining me now for much more on this is sean turner, a professor at michigan state, and also a communicator at michigan state. thank you for having me. and more of what we have learned from the update from michigan official, and they have been forth coming with what they have learned from the investigation, and part of it is that michigan state police said that the note they have found, and what they said, quote, gave an indication of
city try to piece themselves back together again. a crowd mourned at a multi-faith vigil on friday. never in our wildest dreams would we have imagined that five police officers would be dead this morning. this was a well-planned, well-thought out, evil tragedy. the night before an otherwise peaceful protest in dallas became the single deadliest day for law enforcement since 9/11. police say 25-year-old micah xavier johnson a former army reservist with no criminal record used rifle to shoot five officers in an ambush. five were killed and two civilians were injured. get them here! a standoff lasted hours. when negotiations broke police used robot to plant an explosive. the suspect died in the blast. we are horrified over these events and we stand united with people. and the police department in dallas. investigators searched johnson s home friday trying to get more information about why he attacked police officers and whether he acted alone. we are learning mor
firefighters haven t put fire breaks around the fire. it is moving where and when it wants. the problem is you may be able to hear it. whipping winds ignited and sparked this fire yesterday. it was a small fire. there was about 300 acres yesterday afternoon. it exploded out of control, burned through the night. we are now at 10,000 acres charred. some 1500 people have been evacuated from their home. the big concern will be the explosive fire growth. this has been called a critical fire because the area is essentially burning in a tinder box region of southern california that s dry. the hills in decades. it burned some time ago. it was a deadly fire. killed five firefighters during the espe ranza fire. the big concern is battling the conditions on the ground. trying to use the air attack to beat back the flames. the wind will be the big question today. such a big challenge. miguel alma gar, keep us posted. the flap over the republican national committee s threat to exclu
