Parliamentary proceedings in India were disrupted on Friday due to opposition protests over a security breach issue. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned for the day and again until 2 PM, respectively. This is the third day of disruptions due to the issue. The Opposition is protesting the suspension of 14 MPs, 13 from Lok Sabha and one from Rajya Sabha, after they demanded a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah statement on the said issue.
Lalit Jha, the alleged mastermind behind the Parliament breach has been sent to 7-day police custody on Friday. The Delhi police produced Jha before the court and sought a 15-day custody based on the severity of the incident
The order was passed by Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur, who had yesterday remanded four others arrested in connection with the case to seven days of police custody.
