Look here, you can see stocks searching for direction all day, switching between red and green. Right now the dow is up 80 to points, near the highs of the session. The s p 500 is fractionally higher, not even a point. The nasdaq is lower by 2426 26, and the russell 2000 is down by 2. 5. We are within reach of records for all three of the major indices. Right now the dow needs to close higher by more than 38 points. It will then finish at a record high. It did cross 40,000 yesterday but has yet to finish bo that level. As for the s p 500, the Broader Market needs to gain 11 points for its record close, and the nasdaq needs to finish up by 44.
