Even given the many "thank you" posts I have seen in the aftermath of this Natty, I want to do a personal shout-out: Here is to YOU, Brian Cook. From me to you.

Last year, Champions Circle® launched the One More Year Fund to support key Michigan players like Blake Corum, Trevor Keegan, and Zak Zinter who elected to return to Michigan for One More Year. Now, we’re launching the Those Who Stay NIL Campaign. Our rivals are coming after many of our key players, trying to induce them to leave Michigan. It's time for the Michigan Family to show our players how much we appreciate them and want them back in Maize and Blue! Hi, it’s me again. Bryan Mackenzie is taking a hiatus from Opponent Watch (hey should we change the title, by the way? It sounds so self-incriminating these days), so I volunteered for backup duty. Bryan, I gotta say, I really love what you’ve done with this piece. I apologize for all the gimmicky prompts you’ve faithfully preserved all these years (“Michigan can sleep soundly about” just screams undeveloped prefrontal cortex), so please feel free to change them when you return. My passionate disdain of rocks and rock-like objects led me to pursue a career in endourology, which is a fancy way of saying I remove kidney st
About Last Week Behold the progress Rutgers has made. This is JJ McCarthy running the ball. On purpose. Which he did FIVE separate times on Saturday. It was a clear sign of respect, and the understanding that Michigan couldn’t necessarily just romp seventy-eight-to-nothingishly over this Rutgers squad. Michigan had to turn the reads on for the first time this year and put JJ McCarthy in regular peril. And if you look through Patrick Barron’s and Bryan Fuller’s photo albums from this game, you will see many shots like this: JJ having to exert himself and risk life and limb against this great and worthy opponent. Of course, because this is Rutgers, there weren’t any defenders in most of those pictures. Mostly he just sort of meandered gleefully downfield until he decided it was time to take a 90 degree turn for the sidelines. Still: progress.
