What we are going to do is think through some Big Questions about Power Dynamics in american slave societies today. So, part of this is like a building on what we talked about last thursday. Last thursday we talked about gabriels conspiracy, richmond 1800. We talked in conspicuous about how it reflects the complexity of slavery. Slavery was relationship doing individuals, a person and another person. As an experience, slavery was endlessly complex. With gabriel, we saw some of the ways and enslaved person could enjoy some kinds of freedom within their bondage. So, different practices of power influence the ways different people experienced slavery. S
