Bundled together. Caution tape all around it. The man who was killed was a Delivery Driver working for a firm hired by the main stadium contractor. Workers were sent home almost immediately so cal osha and Santa Clara Police can investigate how it is that the worker was hit and killed by those bundled rebar. Heres a statement from the stadium contractor. A material delivery trucksa;x dr was severely injured while materials were being delivered and unloaded from his truck. Emergency services were called and the driver was transported to a local hospital. We are deeply saddened to confirm that the driver has passed away. This is the second fatality here at levi stadium during the construction. In june, donald white was killed on the job. He was a 63yearold elevator mechanic who was struck by a counterweight while he was standing on a ladder. His death shut down construction for two days.
