Earlier this afternoon, mayor Muriel Bowser and interim chief Police Stopped by hoping to assure residents. I hope they recognize this appears to be people known to each other and the School Friend were already in school and that the police are looking for the person responsible and were looking to pick him up off the streets when we can. We understand some of the teachers heard the gun shots. We assume it was frightening for the kids that were involved. Reporter again, d. C. Police on standby kind of camped out here outside harmony Public Charter School. Lets talk about this shooter. What we do know is that the shooter and victim reportedly knew each other. And were also told police know who they are looking for in terms o did just call d. C. Police and they would not release that information or description on the suspect. You can see a partial closure here of some of those lanes. And before pennsylvania avenue with that left lane blocked as well. Beltway looks okay. 16th street closed between l and k this morning. L closed between 17th and 16th. That is a fire at the capital hilton this morning. Do have two lanes blocked on 66. Not causing a major backup but we are seeing some slowdowns.
