Some families to the south being told to leave now. While, others in the north bay are finding their homes have already burned. And tonight, fear for firefighters about possible Lightning Strikes. Good evening. Thank you for joining us. Im eric thomas. This is a quick look at three big fires burning in the bay area. The lnu complex, in the north bay, has charred more than 347,000 acres. It is the secondestlargest wildfire in california history. The scu complex, which covers parts of alameda, contra costa, and santa clara counties, is right behind at 343,000 acres. And the czu complex is up to 74,000 acres. It is burning in san mateo and santa cruz counties. A crew in the north bay at the lnu complex and a crew in the south bay at the scu complex. An alert was sent to fremont residents in the mission road area and south of the livermore city limits. The complex of 20 fires has gone to the 3rd largest in the states history. That is the initial spot of the crash there. There are injuries involved there. Blocking at least two lanes. Traffic is getting by on one lane and the backup extends to richmond. Injuries have been reported. There is a second crash in the backup around gilman. Fire crews are there. It looks like a tow truck is on the way to that scene. Look at this backup. Such a mess this morning. Speeds are down to about 6 and then 2 miles an hour once you get close to the crash. The toll plaza is empty because of this. Fire heavily damaged a home in pleasant hill. You can see heavy smoke and flames. Firefighters rushed to the home around 2 45 this morning. The fire captain says everyone inside the home got out okay.
