Was placed on paid leave. He was with the department for about five years. This really hits home, a family here at the department. Obviously, our officer is very shaken up for everything. Reporter sergeant rivera, the president of the police union. He said, the department could potentially face discipline if he is not at fault. If the officer was not within department the policy, there can be rick percussions, absolutely. Reporter to avoid comfort of interest, outside agencies took over the investigation. The collision itself is being taken over solely by the chp and the das office. Obviously, we will have our own internal investigation. Reporter the chps multidisciplinary action investigation team, specializing in pratt trash protocols spent hours electing evidence and diagramming the scene.
