Next Friday, June 11, marks the start of the Lasta Festival, Ireland’s first ever national arts festival for young people by young people.
Eight venues across Ireland have chosen a team of curators to put together a programme of events for children and young people which will take place online from the 11th to the 20th of June.

Fans of great music and song can look forward to a very special evening on Friday, December 18, when local songstress Elle Marie O Dwyer will host an online fundraising concert for Kanturk Community Hospital.
Staff contacted me a few weeks ago about the possibility of doing this for the residents and I jumped at the idea, Elle Marie said.
The hospital is an essential amenity for the people of North Cork and members of my own family have attended the hospital in the past.
