Aisling to feature in Ireland’s first ever national arts festival for young people by young people Aisling Clarke form Cootehall );   ); Next Friday, June 11, marks the start of the Lasta Festival, Ireland’s first ever national arts festival for young people by young people. Eight venues across Ireland have chosen a team of curators to put together a programme of events for children and young people which will take place online from the 11th to the 20th of June. Siamsa Tíre, the National Folk Theatre of Ireland, has chosen three young women from the west, one of whom is Aisling Clarke from the Cootehall are of County Roscommon.

Look no further than the Lime Tree and Belltable theatres here in Limerick who are participating in a nationwide programme produced by the Arts Council. Entitled Lasta, the programe is described as for young people by young people.” Two young curators, Mamobo Ogoro and Stephen Hartigan, will curate the Lime Tree Theatre contribution and hope you will submit your work by this Friday - May 14. Nearly all forms of art are accepted such as paintings, sculptures, textiles, print, ceramics and so on. If you are a poet, musician, dancer, artist or a performer you are also encouraged to apply!
