LAHORE: Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department (SHC&MED), Punjab has said 2,60,918 corona patients are recovered in the public sector hospitals while 1,883 patients are recovered during the last 24 hours.
In a statement issued here on Monday, SHC&MED Secretary Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan said that 7,489 beds were reserved in all government hospitals for corona patients, out of which 4,877 beds were unoccupied. Likewise, 1,623 beds reserved in government hospitals of the provincial metropolis and 945 beds were vacant so far.
The secretary said that in view of the surging corona pandemic, the department had arranged 3,307 beds in isolation wards of all government hospitals in the province, out of which, 2,574 beds were vacant. ....

LAHORE:Around 81 patients died from COVID19 and another 1,638 positive cases were confirmed in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
According to report issued by Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Sunday, the toll of fatalities reached 9,032 in Punjab, while confirmed cases became 317,972 in the province.
After 9,032 fatalities and recovery of a total of 269,355 patients so far, 39,585 active cases still remain, who are either isolated at homes or under treatment in different public and private hospitals. ‘2,385 patients recover’: Over 2,59,035 corona patients are recovered in public sector hospitals while 2,385 patients are recovered during the last 24 hours. ....

LAHORE:Punjab Specialized Healthcare Department has decided that the Eid holidays from 10th-15th May will not be observed in all medical institutions and hospitals in view of corona pandemic in the country.
This was disclosed by Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan Secretary Specialized Healthcare Punjab here on Friday. He further said that medical and dental universities and hospitals including offices of VCs, Principals and Medical Superintendents shall remain open during Eid holidays. The offices of the health department shall also be opened and essential staff will perform their official duties during these days, he added. The Secretary SHC&MED further said that the MSs shall ensure COVID SOPs in the hospitals and issue duty rosters for Emergency Department, Operation Theater, Medical Stores and other departments, adding that all lifesaving drugs and other essential medical services would be made available. LAHORE: Around 252,208 corona patients recovered in the public sector hospitals being run under the control of Specialised and Primary & Secondary Healthcare departments, while 1963 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.
This was disclosed by Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan Secretary Specialised Healthcare Punjab Thursday. He said that 7,521 beds were reserved in all government hospitals for corona patients, out of which 4,763 beds were unoccupied. Likewise, 1,623 beds reserved in government hospitals of the provincial metropolis and 920 beds were vacant so far.
The Secretary SHC&MED said that in view of the surging corona pandemic, the department had arranged 3,412 beds in Isolation wards of all hospitals in the province, out of which, 2,602 beds were vacant. ....
