Security is dramatically increased here at Dulles International airport. Canine teams move between bags and passengers. Airport Police Officers carrying assaultstyle rifles and side arms are pale troing both inside and curb side. Their presence alone can reassure passengers or be a reminder of yesterdays deadly attacks and bombings at the airport in istanbul. Im concerned. But i know security is up. Deanna the police here in kitty hawk closed the road for a few hours while crews make sure they removed the sand and any dangerous debris. The people that live here that i talked to say it does not rank very high on the list of the worst ones they have seen. This is not the worst one i have seen as far as storms, but you can see the difference. Deanna the kitty hawk mayor says the storm came and went quickly, and that made all the difference. Right now, we have a nuisance. It lingered, it would have been a major problem. Deanna sometimes it falls into the ocean. We can breathe a little bit easier in Hampton Roads, but that is definitely a twister when you see that kind of damage to a tree. That was very likely a tornado had moved through the town of waverly. That looks like something was pretty close to the level, not just roof damage. If we can go back to our last picture, again, it is a small area, and then there is a wider area which has a lot of debris. You can see some vehicles and some twister damage there. Some roof damage. It looks like a structure could have been leveled. Again, we are looking at, quite certainly looks like a tornado went through the waverly area, which is, of course, right on in up here.
