Latest COVID-19 figures in Camden, Miller and Morgan counties

As of Friday, January 29, these are the latest COVID-19 figures reported by the public health departments in Camden, Miller and Morgan counties.
The last social media post from the Camden County Health Department on January 7 reported a total of 3, total cases since March. Of those cases, 453 were reported to be active and there were 65 deaths while 3,424 have recovered. The department did not report the number of people hospitalized. According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, there have been 57 cases in the past seven days with a daily average of eight and there have been 74 total deaths through January 28. A total of 22,023 tests have been issued, according to DHSS.
Morgan County announces multiple possible community COVID exposures

The Morgan County Health Center is notifying the public of potential community exposures from COVID-19 positive individuals. Prior to being diagnosed, the cases went to the following locations,
• 01/19/21-01/21/21: Westside Lanes, Laurie MO
• 01/22/21: Basketball game/courtwarming, Morgan County R-II Highschool
Anyone who was at this location on these dates is at low risk for contracting COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms. There is no need to self-quarantine or isolate unless symptoms develop.
Morgan County Health Center Administrator Shawn Brantley says that, while those involved should be cautious of further spread, this event is considered very low risk for most people. He says anyone who was at Westside Lanes on those days should monitor for symptoms.
6 p.m.: Callaway County adds 42 new cases
Callaway County s now has a total of 360 active cases, an increase of 42 from Friday. There have been a total of 3,656 cases in Callaway County since the start of the pandemic.
According to the Callaway County COVID-19 dashboard, there are an additional 12 active cases in the Callaway County Department of Corrections and no active cases in the Fulton State Hospital.
5:30 p.m. Cole County adds 25 casesÂ
The Cole County Health Department will now show positive case totals by day, which reflects the date the specimen was collected instead of the date the results were received by the Health Department.

FRIDAY UPDATES: Four COVID-19 related deaths reported between two Mid-Missouri counties
Callaway and Morgan County are each reporting at least one COVID-19 related death in their latest respective counties.
The Morgan County Health Center is reporting three COVID-19 related deaths. The county has eight COVID-19 related deaths this month and 34 since August 2nd when they reported their first COVID-19 related death.
The county currently 18 active coronavirus cases and has had a total of 1,630 overall.
The health center is reporting four residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
The county has had 1,578 resident recoveries.
The Callaway County Health Department is reporting one COVID-19 death in their latest update. This is the second death this week and the fifth death this month for the county. The county has record 35 coronavirus deaths since April 4.
