Also in Los Angeles County, the fire in the northern part of San Fernando Valley has burned 120,000 square miles, and four buildings have been destroyed and 25,000 homes remain threatened. Theyve been pushing flames and carrying embers in the hills where theyre lighting new fires. The problem is made worse because of extremely low humidity that is drying out the grass and brush in the area. Crews have made the most progress against the fire thats closest to the Magic Mountain amusement park. Theyre starting to get some containment, but fire Officials Say it will take at least next thursday to get at 100 contained. 5,000 homes are in the path of that fire right now. It started at 8 00 this morning. The truck was speeding south on park street when it clipped a toyota minivan at languageon avenue. That impact caused the truck to go out of control and roll over and hit a tree before coming to rest in a parking lot a block away, a female in the truck died at the scene. A male was taken to the hospital where he diedment Police Believe four other people were in the truck, they were hurt and taken to the hospital. The people in the truck were in their late teens and early 20s. Its not clear if alcohol was involved. We spoke to a cook at a nearby restaurant that saw the crash. Ee received phone calls of a roll over collision. We received a phone call about a crash and there were multiple injuries. I heard a crash and when i looked over, i saw the van over here, it pulled up and i saw the truck that was over there flip and run into the area by that restaurant.
