Firefighters are battling what once was a massive fivealarm fire on the Oakland Emeryville border in the last two hours or so crews from multiple agencies have been able to get the fire a bit under control. It ignited just after 5 00 this morning at a condo building still under construction at 3800 san pablo avenue right next to 580. The massive fire at one point stopped traffic on the freeway. The construction crane melted at the top and there is concern at this 7 00 hour it could become more compromised and collapse on to nearby buildings. Fire crews are working to stop the building itself from collapsing. That what you just saw was the flames from about an hour ago. This is what it looks like now. You can see the flames not as present, more smoke going into the air. So they do have that fire a bit more under control
