I think having the world cup there is going to do much more in terms of resolving current problems then taking it away. The moment the west takes it away that is how it will be perceived in russia, the west taking away the world cup. They are going to completely isolate themselves and the situation will probably deteriorate even more. Ive lived in ukraine myself. I get that. But i think taking the world cup away from russia will not solve this issue. People involved in the game in ukraine want to go if they qualify. I think that shows some of the problems.
