good morning. i m phillip mena. i m frances rivera. this morning the reckoning for men in politics could reach a tipping point on capitol hill. one of the most prominent men in congress, the dean of the house of representatives john conyers announces he is stepping aside as the top democrat on the powerful judiciary committee. the development coming just as embattled senator al franken is set to return to work for the first time since sexual harassment allegations were leveled against him. the democratic leader in the senate now calling for an investigation into franken s conduct. the ethics committee is giving a thorough look into this and that s what should happen with everybody. there should be there are allegations here, there ought to be first a thorough investigation. let s see the results of that before we make any determination. and now franken is speaking out for the first time sitting down with local news outlets, saying he will not resign. kelly o ....
