Cars blocked off traffic in the area while crews put out the flames. Police say firefighters rescued three cats from the home. Fire Officials Say the fire started inside a bathroom. Firefighters contained the flames to that room, but the house does have smoke and water damage throughout the 2nd floor. No one was hurt. Emergency responders took one person to the hospital after a shooting early this morning in cedar rapids. The Linn County Sheriffs Office responded to 1414 sisley grove road northwest around 3 30. An ambulance took the victim to Mercy Hospital in cedar rapids with multiple gunshot wounds, and from there, to the university of iowa hospitals and clinics.
