But i checked in with them today, and they told me nothing was being done yet. The district isnt releasing many details on what ellingson is accused of doing. I second that motion. The motion has been made and seconded to accept the resignation of superintendent ellingson. All in favor say, aye. aye collinsmaxwell School District came to an abrupt halt. Jason ellingson came to the district in 2006 as middle School Principal before becoming its but earlier this week, a report was filed against ellingson, alleging he did something improper while off duty. He was told not to come in to work, as the district investigated. Here at local five, we heard something unusual was going on with the superintendent, so we tried to get in touch with ellingson ourselves. This is what we ard. Board members declined to comment after the final decision came down thursday evening, but released this generic statement on the resignation, saying quote, there is no evidence that any persons have been harmed, and there is no evidence that district programs or operations have been compromised. Nevertheless, the superintendent has offered to resign and accepted his offer of resignation. Ellingsons salary immediately comes off the books for the district, but he will receive a payout for his unused vacation days, as well as any other benefits he accumulated during that time. Jacob the district has already started its search for a fulltime replacement. In the meantime, officials have said they could work with baxters superintendent until the replacement is seated. And give the victim the reciever to let them know if that person violates a protective restraining order. And notifiy police if that barrier was crossed.
