This one escalated after a woman boarded a flight with her stroller and her baby. Ktvu fox 2 news rob malcolm joins us from sfo with details. Reporter good evening scott. That video of that confrontation on the flight from sfo to dallas has gone viral. American airlines has issued an apology an they are investigating. It viz shot by another passenger on board the flight leaving sfo for dallas. It captures the aftermath of the confrontation. In it, you can see the woman who speaks Little English holing her baby and pleading with the Flight Attendant. Passengers on the flight are accusing the Flight Attendant of hitting the mother with her childs stroller. The person who posted the video described it by saying a Flight Attendant violently took a stroller from a lady with her baby. The woman in the video was not the only one upset. A passenger gets up to confront the Flight Attendant and asks for his name. Ill knock you out. [ talking over one another ] i dont care what the story is. N
Police say the boys mother lost control of her car and slammed into a pole. It happened on power avenue near case drive. The child was ejected from a car seat and died at the scene. Witnesses say the driver was actually speeding away from another minor accident when she hit the pole. She was taken to a local hospital with injuries. We dont know the extent of the injuries just yet. She was also driving without a license. We do have a reporter on the scene working to get more information and we will have that for you coming up at 6 00. Now to the campus of uc merced where investigators are looking for a motive after four people were stabbed there yesterday. Police say today they have ruled out terrorism. They identified the suspect as 18yearold Faisal Mohammad, a student at the school. Authorities say he stabbed two fellow students as well as a student adviser and a construction worker. The suspect was then shot and killed by police. Officers say he had zip ties, duct tape, and bags fill
School library littered with racist statements and talked about a lynching that would happen at the school next month. It prompted this mass exodus in class. They held another rally outside the School District building and finished up with a march to uc berkeley. School staff including the principal were with them the whole way. What was put on the computer was a threat of violence on december 9. It was a very ugly threat of violence. That is a part of our history we have not grappled with in this country. This could be some person thinking they are playing games. Thinking it is an innocent thing. Just trying to upset black people and we are upset. I thought it was a safe environment but it is making me feel not so safe anymore. Reporter Berkeley Police and the School District are investigating this as a hate crime. A careless mom, driving wreckless. I dont know what she was thinking. Reporter witnesses saw the saturn speeding and jump the curb and sidewalk, slam into a wall and power pole. What they saw next will be hard to forget. When the car initially hit that side of the pole, the car looked like it started to. When it started spinning out of control, it hit the back part of that pole, it looked like as it was getting ready to tip over, the baby came out of one of the side mirrors. The side windows, im sorry. Reporter the twoyearold boy died instantly. The force of the collision is clear. Debris strewn across a wide area. Police say the impact to the passengers side was enough to tear the door off and that is when the toddler flew out. There was a child seat in the car, but it appears he was not strapped into it or strapped securely enough. I have seen a child when i walked up to the car to get her information in the backseat.
