The director of pubic works says its been worth the money. While people tell us that the streets around the bathrooms are cleaner. I love it. Reporter its also true that the number of complaints about feces on the sidewalk have continued to rise. 25,000 so far this year. And that stench is horrible. My clothes steek. Reporter ann lives around the corner from one of the toilets. She says it helps. Not enough, but its better. Reporter there are a couple dozen public toilets around the city, only three staying open 24 hours. Supervisor haney is pushing them all to be open around the clock. Lets open those bathrooms up 24 hours. Reporter if you crunch the numbers, it will cost about 8. 2 million a year to keep all those 25 bathrooms open for 24 hours a day.
