80 people that work here are out of a job. reporter: have you ever been out of a job this long? no. it s hard. reporter: the restaurant has launched a gofundme page to help the staff. a fund-raiser is planned for next sunday. it could be two months or more before the little lion is up and running again. this chef is itching to get back to work. he tries to look at the bright side to have more time with his kids. they will have dad around more often, a positive thing. reporter: and the restaurant pitching in to find places for servers and sheriffs and bartenders to go, giving them somewhere to work while the work here continues. i will have to start over somewhere else. the second these doors open i will definitely be back. reporter: that fund-raiser is at the restaurant on sunday. organizers tell me local businesses have been pitching in with food and gift cards and care packages for employees with pets to help them get through for the spring. nbc10 news. now

this afternoon. the threat tracker shows that there is moderate threat of any kind of localized flooding or lightning. the highest threat is for highs, strong gusty winds. a severe thunderstorm watch out already. this is the line of showers back in central pennsylvania that is approaching. this is the excessive heat warning today and tomorrow. once the line of showers comes through that s it for the dangerous heat at least for several days. 86 right now. wilmington, dover, millville, georgetown, a lot of places in the mid 80s. the humidity is high. it already feels like it s getting close to the mid 90s. we ve got at least a couple more hours of heating. back to the north and west showers are going to come in before we get a chance to have that feels like temperature triple digits. we have a lot of rain and showers and thunderstorms. and then it comes through the area so just about everybody is going to get rain. and then everybody is going to get significant relief from the
