During his four-year swimming career at Conestoga High School, Jake Wang, the Daily Local News 2023-24 Boys Swimmer of the Year, has established a legacy that’s golden – as in nine gold medals earned at the PIAA 3A state championships.
The senior ended his Conestoga High School swimming career on a high note, being named the PIAA 3A Boys Swimmer of the Meet for the second year in a row, while the Conestoga boys team finished a best-ever second place in the PIAA 3A boys team competition. Wang won the 200 yard IM (PR 1:44.20) and 100 breaststroke (PR 52.36) and was the leadoff swimmer for the Pioneers’ first-place 400 free relay and 200 free relay teams.
Main Line swimmers sparkled at the PIAA Swimming & Diving Championships March 13-16 at Bucknell University, particularly those from Conestoga High School. The Conestoga High School boys and girls swimming teams, who went through the dual meet season undefeated in the Central League (9-0 overall, 6-0 Central), got off to a great start on the first day of the two-day Central League Meet at Ridley High School Friday.
